UCLA quarterback Nico Iamaleava will reportedly miss Saturday's matchup against No. 1 Ohio State due to a concussion, according to On3's Brett McMurphyandESPN's Pete Thamel.
Iamaleava suffered the injury during last week's28-21 defeatto Nebraska, but did not begin feeling symptoms until after the game. The UCLA signal-caller was 17-for-25 with 191 passing yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing 15 times for 86 yards.
Redshirt sophomore Luke Duncan will make his first career start with Iamaleava sidelined.
Followinghis transfer from Tennessee, Iamaleave has recorded 1,659 passing yards, 12 touchdowns and 7 interceptions, along with 474 yards and four touchdowns on the ground in his first season with UCLA.
UCLA began the season 0-4 and then won three straight in October, including a win over then-No. 7 Penn State. But two straight losses have put the team in a situation where they need to win out in order to become bowl eligible.
The Bruins finish up the regular season at home against Washington next week and then travel to face USC on Nov. 29.
